26 DAYS TO GO....

Hi Lads,
First friendly organized for Sat 5th August against Beaney Park FC @ the Clump Inn pitch @ Chilworth kick off 2.30pm. Then back to the Shirley Park Inn afterwards. Let me know if you're available in due course. Remember training starts in a few weeks. I will see you all then. I Spoke to Barrie and he wants some help with the pich next Sunday (16th), any help will be welcome - bring your own spade and pitch fork. Barrie is going to speak to me in the week. Pass the word around.

Thanks
Pete

how many players are signing on for sundays next year ?

I've no idea.
Firstly we have no goalkeeper.
Kristian was only helping us out.
Whilst Lee's made it clear he can only play one day.
In our last game against Spotted Cow, we had 14 players. You may recall that Lee was one of these players, and this size of squad was very rare indeed during a season when we often fieded the bare eleven.

I still want to play both days if Sundays go ahead next season

we need to get this sorted lads, as soon as we can. we need definite numbers of who is signing sundays, so we dont waste morris' or barries' time.

personally, i dont think we are going to have enough players to make a strong enough squad for sundays. there is no point trying to scrape people together on a saturday night or sunday morning, as people will soon lose interest if that continues.

i would love to be able to play both days next season, but i think we all know its not possible for me to do that, so i have to put my hands up and say i cant sign for both teams.

as it stands at the moment, i'm assuming we dont have the players for the meon valley side, so im swaying towards saturdays. guess we'll just see what happens pre-season.

Im committed to Sundays, but if we don't have the numbers i will play for the Saturday side, but Sundays will remain my priority. Again all we can do is see how things unfold.

Jay will not be playing on sundays next year.

And the friendly against Beaney Park, well they finished 3rd in Junior 4.

how come it's always you boys having to sort these things out - what bhappened to the days when a manager organised his team, recruited players and made sure there were sufficient numbers on matchdays.
on that note how come the chairman is noticeable by bhis absence in so many of these issues

when i think of something else i'll get back on my soapbox again

You may or may not know that Paul @ The Bugle in Botley has kindly give us some sponsership money for some new kit.I am in the process of purchaseing some new football shirts which should be with us for the new season. There is a short fall for the rest of the kit so I am looking to organise a fund raising do for Burridge so that we can complete ths set and maybe get some tops.If possible I hope to get a photo in the local rag to advertise our new sponsership deal so get those hair cuts sorted Rich!!Barrie has not contacted me yet regarding the pitch work on Sunday I will chase him up tonight.Meanwhile looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 25th for those of you who are on holiday have a good break and come back refreshed.I do not know about you but I am looking forward to working with you lads and quietly confident we can put in a better showing than last season.
All the best

**YELLOWS & REDS**

It appears Barrie hasn't had money for Bookings from 2005/06. See
http://www.burridge-afc.co.uk/133053.html for the horrid details.

According to that documentation Kristian, Luke, Rich, Ross and Bryn as well as others all still owe the club money. I've no record if you've paid or not, but Bariie wants money.

I've explained clearly that we are as much victim of missing monies as he is, and aren't accountable for this, (as I know you've already paid).

I have a brand new spanking log book for the coming season whereupon I'll be monitoring it in a much more efficient manner.

Regards.

Sundays does need sorting and quick - I have sent a text to all those players I have mobile numbers for - only half have responded (thank you) - would appreciate quick response from others - maybe too much verbal garbage rather than disciplined action is the reason why Managers appear not to do things!

Once I have most responses I will let you know the position with Sundays next year - meanwhile keep practising - you need it!
