SOTON BTC 5-4 BURRIDGE AFC AET

Did you hear the one about the luxury Burridge apartment? No? Well, it’s a three up and five down. Just make sure you don’t go upstairs, or the ceiling will come crashing down, and you with it. There among the debris of the five down, medical attention will be necessary to see if the injured party is of sound body and mind. Of course, he won’t be. Not after a shock like that. On recovery it will be advisable to hold an enquiry of investigation to discover how such a disaster could occur. The builders might want to inspect the foundations. It isn’t clear if they’re made from concrete or crayon. If it is the latter, it was unable to portray a pretty picture. No, sir. This game was no John Constable, no Renoir. If it were to be depicted on canvass, it would surely be done so by the late Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky - meaning it to be abstract, shocking and open to interpretation.

It started so well for Burridge. After an hour they were three goals up thanks to Bryn Schwodler, Kristian Hewitt and Ben Hutton. But when BTC scored via a corner, doubts began to surface. One BTC goal became two - from another corner kick – as Burridge seemed rather susceptible to crosses in their penalty area. Before long BTC had drew level from yet another cross and could and perhaps should have gone onto win in normal time. As the game went into extra time Burridge went down 4-3, then levelled through Jaimie Hewitt. But the damage had already been done and the cracks were starting to show. BTC’s three goal come back had rocked Burridge and they claimed their place in the next round after yet another cross was converted for the winner.

3-5-2: B.Rowe, M.Sanderson (L.Sanderson), P.Dyke, J.Schwodler, J.Newman, G.Baker, M.Reeves, K.Hewitt, J.Hewitt, B.Hutton, B.Schwodler

Apologies chaps. I shan't be at training this Wednesday. I'm attending a colleagues film screening.

I feel a little guilty. Just to reiterate my comittment to the cause: two thirds of the red kit already washed by my fair hand.

Heck, I'll even stck the kit in the airing cupboard to keep it warm for you.

Sat was abit of a shock it all happened so quickly it was hard to swallow!! But we can all just concentrate on the league now we still have a great chance of winning this league and what better way of showing it than battering bottom of league this sat depending on weather lets all hope its on seeing as we did look to play good football for 70 mins on sat.
It appears we can now start well but not finish things off the complete vice versa of our normal get hounded for the first 10-2-mins then go onto win lets see if we can go from start to finish on sat
COME ON BURRIDGE!!

I would like to say that I've never seen such a capitulation, but hell...I've never even heard of such a capitulation. Very disappointing!

Great first sixty minutes then they got a lucky break followed by the Mitchell brothers who I felt try to intimidate us.We did not attack the high balls in the box and got punished which has not been like us.Still we can get back on track next week in the league. I am not to downhearted see you all training Wednesday good to see Kristian get 90mins under his belt

Kristian was a bit peckish on Saturday, so he had thirty extra minutes for dessert. And he scored.

I was at saturdays game, first 70 mins was exciting and exhilarating with only one team in it, the baldies came on and blew you away. You need to get mean!

Unfortunately i won't be able to attend on saturday evening because i'm in attendance with Nelson Mandela, he wants to discuss how to sort out the problems in Africa. How can i refuse an old friend?

Ah Tim, had I known you were at Saturday's game I would of asked you - as my life coach - on a variety of things. But, although you're close to finding the cure for the common cold, we both now that my life is a far more complex matter to deal with.

Tim, I am embarrassed at my spelling. Spellcheck, like alcohol has become my crux in life. As there is no spellcheck facility in the comment posting I've fallen foul. So lazy as not to check properly.

But, I would "have" asked you, NOT would of. And, (they, whoever they are, say you cannot begin a sentence with and, but I do), we "know" as in realise rather than "now" the moment. Needed to clear that up.

RE: Xnas party. Perhaps we should go to one place until a certain time, then another to finish the night. EG. Varsity up to 10:30, then Reflex. That way everybody knows the score and more than 6 people might be at a given place at a given time.

Ben, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news. But, you are somewhat off the pace, with what 3 or 4. With this wild claim I hope you'll be treating us with a hat-trick this Saturday?
