SOLENT 4 - 0 BURRIDGE AFC

Needing four wins from their remaining five games, Solent had the bit firmly between their teeth. Burridge succeeded in frustrating then during the first half, without ever threatening the Solent goal. Mid way through the second period Burridge were no longer able to break up wave after wave of Solent attack, and their inability to keep possession made their task even more difficult.

Once finally Solent broke the deadlock, space was found and further goals followed. Burridge can take some positives from the battling first half performance; but will surely have to take on a pre-season regime as an essential obligation, instead of an option they'd rather avoid if they're ever going to improve, and actually discover what they're capable of.

4-4-2: D.Hopkins, L.Sanderson, B.Wilson (M.Sanderson), P.Dyke, J.Schwodler, R.Bryant, M.Reeves, R.Allan, B.Schwodler, P.Andrews (S.Froud), K.Hewitt

All over now fellas. Just get in the mindset to get fit as fiddles for next season! Afterall, some of us aren't getting any younger, some why not try and be the best you can be before the boots get hung up.

ICEMAN come join the saturday army and we will conquer the league next season! The new gaffer has told me to lose a few pounds for next season, so I'll have my last Domino's this weekend and then on to the lettuce leaves.

Yes, come on Kev, join Romsey, I mean Burridge AFC. Once you've done your apprenticeship, you may get a game. Yes, the Burridge bandwagon starts here! I can hear the opposing fans singing in protest, 'Where were you when you were sh*t!' as we hammer another team into next week. Incidentally, did anyone else notice one of Solent's players tapping up Bryn for next season, proving either he's stuck in a timewarp circa 1999 or he just really isn't that bright! Only joking Bryn, get those shooting boots on for next season!

Maybe you should commit early to avoid disappointment Kev. I better than most, realise that making such a decision in Spring is dangerous; the reproductive glands ache in anticipation of the current flock of young lovelies. You don't want to be turned away, do you? Oh, you could have joined, you just didn't ask - the chance is gone. The bandwagon with biscuit wheels is rolling. Must you tease us?
