RESULT! after checking the meon valley website, it said that because of the time of year blah blah blah, 7 days is sufficient notice for a change of fixture. fingers crossed then, that the days we're struggling for players, is the days we have home fixtures. there. sorted.

i think the issue with us not being able to cancel games is the fact that we have a reserve side and should strictly speaking promote players from them to compensate for our absences.

I'm not sure...no, yes he did...
Anyway. The Pope felt ashamed. It was Christmas 1987 and he'd promised to take Anne Haddy out for a drink but he had to take Mass instead. Anne was very upset and called Jim Robinson. Jim usually of an argumentative nature said, "You know Pope Jean-Paul is a man of much responsibility."
"I realise that," snapped Anne. "But must I always come second to the Catholic faith?"
"Sometimes relationships require compromise?" said Jim drawing heavily on a menthol cigarrete. "You must understand that?" With that there was a knock on their Ramsay Street resisdence. Anne opened the door, and to her delight it was Pope Jean-Paul. "I've abdicated Anne!" said the Pope in Polish. "Shall we go to the Watering Hole?"
"Oh Jean-Paul, I'd love to," gushed Anne.
