Congratulations

Congratulations to Kristian Hewitt and Donna Keats, of Hedge End, Southampton, who are getting married today in Barbados after 11 years together.

Despite what they say, Bryn Schwodler is a safe pair of hands and as best man I'm sure he'll do you both proud.

Unfortunately, the car boot sale I was relying on to generate the capital for a flight for to the Caribbean only brought in £3.47. The Morrissey and Nirvana LPs went like hot cakes, but nobody wanted to know about Hungry Hippos, Guess Who? or my Rubik's cube.

you're clearly not trying hard enough Emerson - get out there and sell your body

It crossed my mind, Lulozza.

While I'd like to gigolo it up with top quality skirt like yourself, one has to know what market their look and body would appeal to.

Unfortunately, mine would probably be the dirty old man cottaging in Soho market....but sometimes we have to make sacrifices to get what we want.

The real money is in pimping. You could hook up members of the Burridge eleven with interested readers and charge both parties an introduction fee.

Very good, gozza.

You're quite the businessman. I appoint you project manager on this venture.

Hopefully it'll be a mutually beneficial service for both parties.

Congrats. I'd have bought the Hungry Hippos, just to help you out in this time of economic challenge.

I think GB could be on to something here. Just think of all those touchline widows waiting for some excitement.

Well, it all depends on what constitutes excitement these days.

Rubik's Cube? No one wanted your Rubik's Cube? I must post a funny story about a Rubik's Cube I bought in London in 1981, just after they were released.

Thanks for reminding me!

1981, ahhh, that takes me back, David. I would very much like to hear your Rubik's Cube story.

Emerson - the way I'm feeling, anything would constitute excitement these days.

I too am gobsmacked at the lack of interest over a vintage Rubik's Cube.
It seems that people aren't as square as they used to be.

Looking back (bringing back the blog)
